The History Channel

Working at Poke London I was responsible for all front end HTML and CSS development for the new History channel website. I worked closely on a day to day basis with a JavaScript developer to ensure the interactive elements of the site were styled in accordance with the designs, and also helped out with less complex Javascript functionality.

To add to the complexity of the project, the new History Channel front end would be used to create another 3 additional Sky channel websites, Military History, Crime & Investigation Network and the Bio Channel. Therefor the CSS and HTML had to be written in a fairly abstract and modular way so these additional themes and designs could be built using the existing HTML and CSS framework.

During my contract at Poke, I was also involved in Client meetings (Sky), progress demonstrations, and project integration with the back end teams.
